After
a while that this album wasn't available, the Dutch proglabel
LaBraD'or Records decided to come with the complete Mouse
saga. For those who don't know about it. Mouse is a musical
story divided into 8 Acts. Act 5. also known as 'The meeting'
was released much earlier than the actual 'Mouse' album. Now
we have here a double album with the right sequence of the
several Acts.
Aragon's best album doesn't really differ from the first pressings.
Some little productional enhancements were made, only be heard
by the real die hard Aragon fans. It's too much to describe
all the 34 tracks. I will mention the very last track, that
is an interview handling about the making of 'Mouse'.
The typical vocals and the distinguishing sound of Aragon
makes them obtain a special place in symphonic rock. Varying
from moody atmospheres to hard rocking uptempo show offs,
this band always stands for a good quality in music. Hanging
towards Fish, Marillion and some Camel, the album reveals
different styles and moods. Just listen to it and judge for
yourself. After the somehow disappointing 'Mr. Angel' the
Australian prog gods try to heal the wounds, with hope that
the following album will be like this one again.
