Sinkadus - Live at Progfest '97

Last summer ('97) was a good time for Swedish promotion. In America at the Progfest festival you could have been watching the Flower Kings, Ritual and there was this band called Sinkadus. For many progfrogs a new edition of the late Änglagård. Music in the vein of these Swedish masters with a bit more folky and medieval approach now and then. The album 'Aurum nostrum' caught our attention last year (there's a review on this site) and the live registration of the concert in Los Angelas gets very close to the studio version. The typical atmosphere on the album does work on stage as well. From the smooth, soft and faery-like parts to chaotic themes it's all brilliant. All the four songs from 'Aurum nostrum' are on the live album added with one (new?) song called 'Jag, Änglamarks bane'. This album also contains a version 1 (demo) of 'Aurum nostrum' on the second disc.
